John & Charles Fischer came to New York early in the nineteenth century and began building pianos around 1840. Their father Carl Fischer was a famed Viennese builder of piano/fortes and they brought this same high quality standard to their factory in America.

This piano was built at the time JC Fischer Co celebrated the making of 100,000 instruments and exemplifies their fine quality.
After a thorough clean up, action regulation, key leveling (original ivory key tops) and tuning, it is ready to be used and enjoyed once again.
